GHOROT (US) is a blackened doom-metal trio formed in Boise, ID in 2019 by Carson Russell (Ealdor Bealu), Brandon Walker (ex-Ghost Tours), and Chad Remains (ex-Uzala). The band's first full-length album Loss of Light was released in 2021 onTransylvanian Recordings (Oakland, CA) and Inverse Records (Jyväskylä, Finland), and received significant national and international attention. The band toured in support of the record throughout the Pacific Northwest in 2021 and the Southwest in 2022 including 2 performances each at Crucial Fest in Salt Lake City and Treefort Music Fest in Boise.
Wound, Ghorot’s sophomore full-length album, was released on October 6th, 2023 on Lay Bare Recordings (Nijmegen, Netherlands), King of the Monsters Records (Phoenix, AZ), and Transylvanian Recordings (Oakland, CA), and immediately became an album of the year contender throughout the international underground metal scene. The band set out on an
18- date Western US tour with Sacramento's doom/sludge trio Chrome Ghost in support of the record, their longest and most successful tour to date.
GHOROT's highly anticipated third full-length record OBSIDIAN is slated for an April 10 2026 release on Lay Bare Recordings (EU) and King of the Monsters Records.(US) Ghorot is prepared to bring their blasphemous atrocities to eager crowds across the globe.
